VICE-PRESIDENT (PUBLIC SERVICE)
With over fifteen years of working experience, a self-motivated and hardworking professional Geological Engineer (Geologist) with excellent IT skills who possesses the ability to set and achieve very high standards in the workplace and in his personal life, Daniel Fordjour Agyemang is a true role model for others. He has proven to be a positive change maker. To achieve this status, Daniel paid the price and worked hard to achieve all these and he does not only maintain them, he constantly improves them.
He enjoys contributing to the team environment through his actions, treats others with respect and takes responsibility for all his actions towards goals as well as individual targets. He possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, managing, negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial internal and external relationships in highly pressurized and challenging working environments.
Throughout his adulthood, he has occupied various leadership roles. His leadership is characterised by these key attributes: selfless, motivative, vibrant, attentive, meticulous, dedicated, versatile and tireless leadership. Proven to be technically and professionally competent. He is a confident communicator, approachable and friendly professional who welcomes challenges in harsh conditions and is adaptable to change. He works well under pressure to consistently meet strict deadlines.
Daniel has a solid professional and academic background which has contributed massively to the above attributes. Continuing from Opoku Ware School where he had his SSS education, he successfully completed his first degree in BSc. Geological Engineering at KNUST where he also became the Unity Hall President during his time. As part of his further academic qualifications after his First Degree, he is currently pursuing his PhD. in Engineering Geology at the Department of Earth Science, University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana. This is after he successfully achieved:
• MSc. in Engineering Geology at the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana.
• Certificate in Advanced GIS and Remote Sensing at James Cook University, Australia.
• Certificate in GIS Applications at Witwatersrand University, South Africa.
• Certificate in Project Management at GIMPA, Ghana.
Considering all the above, Daniel always stands tall when it comes to leadership and causing positive change. He has always been an asset wherever he found himself in the past until now and with his commitment to continuous development, he shall continue to be an asset wherever he finds himself in future. He is privy to the strives and challenges of the Ghana Institution of Geoscientists (GhIG) and he believes he is well equipped to handle these for a positive change and positive results for GhIG to be more attractive.
