Crisler is astute geoscience professional with over 24years of experience in mineral exploration, feasibility studies, and mineral investment advisory analyst; specializing in gold, diamond, and other non-precious minerals including Cotan. He also has an in-depth overview of the geology and mineralization of gold in West Africa Craton and their respective potentials.
Crisler has been involved and a key member of significant mineral exploration adventures and its attendant people’s management and resources and at instances occupy the position as a Geology Manager, Explorations Manager, Technical Director, Principal Geologist and Consultant with several companies and on projects across southern Ghana, the West African Subregion, the US amongst others.
Crisler has been an active and instrumental member of the institution as the “Chief Servant” having occupied the positions at various instances as the Assistant General Secretary, Acting General Secretary, and General Secretary from the onset of the renaissance period where the Institution took a bold step to carry out reforms on its activities and a constitutional review.
Not only has he served on most of the committees of the Institution and their works but also has been a key member of the current administration’s drive to register the Institution as a Professional Body with an Act of Parliament for the Regulation of Geoscience Practice in Ghana which invariably will help to harness and exploit our natural resources using best practice, minimizing and managing the potential impact that these activities bring to bear on our environment, people and places.
As a lateral thinker, Crisler can communicate complicated ideas to a wide audience, a team builder, mentor, and motivator. He can provide guidance and experience to key decisions and its executable framework, a highly dynamic professional network, sound statutory engagements, requirements that govern the actives of geoscientists. An excellent communicator to all levels of classes both with regulators and government appointees. He has a general overview of how government machinery works and its axis of leverage. This Crisler is poised to bring to serve the Institution with the highest professional standard and efficiency.
Crisler’s is seeking your approval to continue as the General Secretary to enable the incoming administration to finish all the agenda that the outgoing executives had embarked upon and to put the Institution on a sound footing to prosecute the aspiration of the Constitution of the Ghana Institution of Geoscientist and its entire membership. The next tenure of office will see effective engagement, tailor-made organization of activities, and relevant content for the general membership’s benefit.
